Drawings
Library Series
When I’m not creating art, I love to read. The idea for this series began with a drawing of the perfect reading nook—a cozy little space where I’d love to curl up with a good book, complete with a beautiful stained-glass window. The first drawing is the result of that vision.
While working on that piece, another library-inspired idea came to mind. I thought it would be fun to create a reading space with the feel of a greenhouse—something magical and whimsical, like you might find in Harry Potter. That concept became the second drawing.
After finishing the first two pieces, I started imagining other unique library settings. I envisioned a library that felt as though it were underwater, surrounded by the beauty and mystery of the ocean. I also imagined a warm, cozy indoor space where, despite being sheltered inside, you could still feel connected to the night sky, with stars overhead and twinkling lights all around. Drawings three and four are the products of those ideas.
Butterfly/Moth Series
I created this series of drawings out of my love for butterflies and moths. I wanted to portray them as if they were part of a carefully curated display, allowing their intricate patterns, colors, and unique features to be fully appreciated.
Some of the butterflies and moths in this collection are inspired by real species found in nature, such as the luna moth and the yellow butterfly. Others are products of my imagination, created simply for the joy of exploring new designs. These include pieces like the tiger-striped butterfly and the purple-and-orange moth. By combining real and imagined species, this series celebrates both the beauty of the natural world and the creativity it inspires.
Flower Series
I created this series of flower bouquet drawings to accompany the butterfly and moth series. The earlier pieces had a curated, display-like quality that emphasized the beauty of the butterflies and moths, and I wanted to create a similar sense of presentation and appreciation with the flower drawings.
Commissions
In addition to creating original artwork inspired by my own ideas and interests, I also work closely with clients to bring their unique visions to life through commissioned pieces. The drawings above showcase a selection of past commissions, each designed to reflect the individual ideas and preferences of the people who requested them.
